Private Lessons

I’ve been teaching voice lessons, guitar lessons, and bass lessons in the Denver area for over 10 years. My philosophy is one of finding the right path for the student—look at their musical interests and goals, work with their natural sound and style—and helping them along that path with detailed instruction and insight. I work with everyone from a young kids just trying to get off on the right foot to seasoned amateurs and professionals pushing to the next level.

Audition Prep

One of my specialties is getting people ready for big auditions. Whether it’s trying to get into an All State choir, getting ready to audition for colleges, or trying to make it into a professional group, I can help you make the best impression possible. I’m really happy to say that I’ve got a great track record of helping people get their desired spots and would love to help you nail that big audition, too.

Ensembles

There is no substitute for the kind of learning that happens when you’re playing in a band. The experience is so essential to having a full and rich understanding of what it means to be a musician. I love working with bands, be they full fledged jazz combos, high energy rock groups, or anything in between. I keep a regular set of bands that I direct, arrange music for, arrange gigs for, and produce recordings of.

Songwriting, Composition, and Theory

The thing that really got me hooked on music in the first place was songwriting. Putting chords and melodies together, figuring out how to arrange the words to make them hit the listener just right. To this day it’s one of my absolute favorite parts of the job. I love to help burgeoning songwriters and composers hone their craft. From learning new chords and progressions, how to arrange multiple instruments, all the way to helping put together recordings for more advanced students.
